2020: A Call to Pray For Wuhan

I decided to watch a video on YouTube posted by a distraught Wuhan resident, a young man in his 20’s who is extremely frustrated with the local officials after the city of 11 million people were sealed off on January 23.
He reported that there was no pre-warning of the seriousness of the coronavirus spreading like fire through their city; now with 80 people dead and more than 2,700 infected.
And right now, all public transportation has stopped. Hundreds of sick people struggle to get to the hospitals and once there, they have to wait hours and even days to see a doctor or get tested. Many in line are simply sent home as the hospitals simply could not cope with the deluge of patients. At this rate, he surmised many more will die and the virus will continue to spread.
"...PEOPLE JUST COLLAPSING ON THE STREETS, BODIES LYING HERE AND THERE..."
I watched more videos - people collapsing on the streets where they had stood, bodies lying here and there, picked up later by medical workers in hazmat suits. It was utterly frightening and distressing.
It Looks Bad, Really Bad
News agencies outside China reported that the first case was on Dec 8 but the government took pains to cover it up, insisting it was controllable and treatable. The police even questioned people who posted on social media, accusing them of spreading rumours.
This young man also said in his video that this virus was discovered a month ago but nothing was done to pre-warn them. No one was wearing masks and about 1 million Wuhan residents have flown to other cities and countries since then to be home for the Lunar New Year celebrations.
"ABOUT FIVE MILLION PEOPLE LEFT THE CITY BEFORE THE LOCKDOWN CAME INTO EFFECT!"
At a press conference yesterday, Wuhan’s mayor revealed that about five million people left the city before the lockdown came into effect!
The China’s Health Commission also said in a press briefing yesterday that the coronavirus transmission ability is getting stronger and infections could continue to rise. Its Minister divulged that the authorities’ knowledge of the new virus was limited and they are unclear on the risks posed by mutations of the virus.
The virus has now spread to 12 other countries: Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Singapore, Nepal, France, Australia, Malaysia, Canada and the US.
An Urgent Call to Fast and Pray
Distressed by the situation of the people in Wuhan and concerned for the safety of the world and for our upcoming trip, I starting praying in bed as my body was too tired and too weak to get up.
"V SAID THAT WE NEED TO FAST FOR THIS BECAUSE THIS VIRUS IS DUE TO THE SIN OF GLUTTONY!"
A few days ago, the China team said this virus is due to the sin of gluttony and V said we need to fast.
They were prepared to start fasting and praying together with me but as I was going away, the earliest I could do it is on Feb 3, after I returned from my family vacation in Maldives. But I told them it is more important to be led by the Spirit; to do it at the Kairos time.
This morning, I felt that it cannot wait until I return. We need to form a prayer chain and start fasting right away, starting with myself. To my delight, the China team has already arranged to start from today! The Holy Spirit wasted no time and is at work already!
He took charge and led us into a 3-Part warfare strategy against this pandemic…
