Thanksgiving for The Lifeboat Fund From God (3)

As we draw near Christmas, we want to take a break from our series of posts on “Bringing up Sara” to give thanks to God. This is a series of thanksgiving reports from our community in China.
Last November, the Lord impressed upon Sara, after our retreat in Pai, to start a Lifeboat Fund to help our brothers and sisters in China, which was under a hard lockdown. You can read it in the post: https://www.communityofbrokenspirit.org/blog/2023-don-t-be-a-dumb-elephant

Cheng and Rong
During the pandemic, my husband, Cheng, lost his job and had to stay home. We have three children, with the youngest less than a year old at the time. The Lifeboat Fund provided substantial assistance to our family during these hard times. There is an underground market opening near our home, and we are now in the process of partnering with others to open a small stall selling vegetables and fruits. Our life now is full of hope!
因为疫情失业在家，有3个孩子，最小的当时还不满一岁，家里的生活很困难，救生艇基金给了我们全家很大的帮助。现在家附近有一间地下蔬菜水果市场要开业，我们最近正准备和别人合起来开一个卖蔬菜水果的小摊。对生活充满了希望！

“Since my mother returned from Ukraine, we have all been living together, including my wife, our 3-month-old and my mother-in-law. Our whole family believes in Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour! The Lifeboat Fund has provided much assistance to our family, supporting us when our daughter was born. Now, I have found a job and my income is enough for our living expenses. My wife will also be able to return to work in two months. We are grateful to God for his blessing upon our family!”
妈妈才从乌克兰回来，妻子，女儿3个月大，丈母娘，一起生活，全家老小都信耶稣基督是主！当时女儿马上出生，救生艇对全家老小生活上的帮助很大，感谢主！
Daniel 已经找到了工作，收入够生活，妻子两月后就可以正常工作。

My sister and I have devoted more than twenty years of our lives to full time evangelism and missionary work. In 2019, my health took a serious hit when I was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver, lung cancer, and a decrease in platelet count. Eventually, I had to undergo a splenectomy. After a much-needed six-month rest, I resumed my work, but our family life became riddled with difficulties. We are so thankful for the support and assistance we received from our church community, and even more thankful to the LIfeboat Fund, which was a tremendous help with our daily life, with family matters and with our mental and spiritual needs.
Furthermore, the emergency medical kit provided has been a source of immense comfort and encouragement, particularly during the ongoing pandemic. It has not only helped us address health concerns but also bolstered our confidence in both our mission work and daily life. Thank you God for your grace.
我和姊妹一直在外面作宣教工作，我是全职奉献的同工，二十几年的工作，在二0一九年得了肝硬化的疾病，同时也检查出肺癌，血小板减少，最后把脾手术切除，休息半年后一直工作，家庭生活出现困难，感谢教会的帮助，更感谢救生艇基金给予我们生活、家庭、精神上的帮助，同时也感谢教会肢体给子的应急药包对我们又一次帮助鼓励，在这疫情当中度过难关。同时也给予我们事奉生活带来信心，感谢神的恩典！

During the severe COVID-19 outbreak in Lanzhou, finding suitable job opportunities seemed impossible. While I remained unemployed at home, the Lifeboat Fund stepped in, providing invaluable assistance to our daily lives. We not only had a bountiful New Year but also learned to live with carefree trust in the Lord. Remarkably, He never let us down. In the process of returning to family life, He deepened my faith, taught me the art of balance, allowed me to experience joy, and find rest. His immense grace continues to guide me, helping me excel in my professional field. I'm immensely grateful that His grace is always sufficient for us!
In March, as the situation improved, I received two job offers – one from an educational institution and another from an internet company. Following the Lord's guidance, I decided to take up the role of an art teacher for children while awaiting the second round of interviews with the internet company. I firmly believe that with His guidance, this experience will bear abundant fruit.
Lastly, there's some wonderful news to share. During this year's Chinese New Year, my grandmother returned to the Lord and was baptised. This unexpected and joyous development has been a profound blessing for our family! Our lives are securely held in the hands of the Lord, and we've unknowingly returned to a sense of normalcy, which keeps improving day by day. All thanks go to Jesus 💗 and our faithful team members 💗
兰州严重的疫情，没有办法找到合适的工作机会，离职在家的日子里，救生艇对我们生活上的帮助很大，我们度过了丰盛的新年，尝试一无挂虑的靠主生活，事实上祂真的从未使我失望。回归家庭的日子里祂在加添我的信心以及教导我学习平衡、找到喜乐和回归安息。在祂极大的恩典中每日学习，自己专业领域也不断精进，感谢主，祂的恩典始终够我们用！
在这个3月，疫情好转，我收到了两份工作机会，一份是教培机构，一份是互联网公司，现在被主带领着决定在等候互联网公司第二轮面试的时间里，先试试这个教培行业当小朋友们的美术老师，我相信在祂的带领中，我会收获颇丰！
最后还有一个好消息，在今年过年的时候，我的奶奶也已经受洗归主，对于我们家来说，这是太令人惊喜的好消息了！我们的生活在主的手中，不知不觉已经回归正规，并且越来越好！感恩耶稣💗感恩团队💗
